Global Aviation was founded in 1987 by Jim Ray. Jim Ray served honorably for more than 20 years in our nation’s military. His motto then was, “Dedication to the preservation of aviation.”

When Ray died in 1994, his wife assumed operation of the business. In 2001 the Rays’ son, Doug, and his wife, Sherrie, purchased the business, and they remain co-owners today.

To honor the founder and stay in tune with the values that Jim Ray started the company with, Doug and Sherrie Ray continue to have as their motto, “Dedication to the preservation of aviation.”

Global began by brokering maintenance business, primarily to AiResearch (now Standard Aero) located across the runway. When Doug and Sherrie Ray took over the business, they brought maintenance in-house. Since then the Rays’ strategy has been a steady, deliberate growth with an emphasis on customer relationships and preserving aircraft.

You’ll find us on the east side of Runway 15L/33R just south of Atlantic Aviation FBO. Our location here allows us to offer immediate repair services. Your aircraft is safe with 24-hour security.
